Student Organization BSB Use
Baylor Student organizations are welcome to request the use of BSB shared classroom space for organizational general meetings, information sessions, workshops, seminars, and discussion panels. Student organizations can also request tabling space underneath the E wing or A wing digital sign board for fundraising, signups, and giving out information. The following are examples of what BSB shared classrooms and tabling space are NOT available to request for:
- Dinners (food and drink are not allowed in the shared classrooms)
- Social mixers
- Arts and crafts
- Movie nights/viewing
- Game nights
- Talent shows
- Pageants
- Dances
- Fashion shows
To request shared classroom in the BSB through Astra, student organizations must:
- First must get approval though Student Activities Connect for each event that is requested. Once approved, download, and email the approval pdf to bsb@baylor.edu by following these steps:
- Log in to Connect (www.baylor.edu/baylorconnect)
- Click on your account icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Click ‘Submissions’
- Under ‘My Submissions’, click ‘Events’
- Click the name of the event request
- Click the printer icon on the right side of the screen to export a .pdf copy of the event submission
- This must be turned in before putting requests into Astra.
- Once Student Activities Connect approval pdf is submitted to bsb@baylor.edu, student organizations can then submit their requests for shared classrooms space through Astra.
- Instructions on how to submit a request in Astra.
- Use the following format for the Event Name in the request form: Name of student organization – Name of event.
- If student organizations have multiple meetings to request, use the multiple meetings request feature on the form. See the instructions page linked above.
***Student organizations requests for BSB shared classroom space are not reviewed until the 3rd week of each semester and it is suggested that organizations seek alternative meeting spaces for those first few weeks from Student Activities at sis@baylor.edu. Student organizations requesting tabling space within the BSB must:

- Once Student Activities Connect approval pdf is submitted to bsb@baylor.edu, confirmation from the BSB Director’s Office will come to the person who submits the approval with further instructions for the date of the event.
