- The MBC’s FACSVerse is equipped with a blue and red laser and can collect data in 8 different parameters (forward scatter, side scatter and 6 fluorescence channels).
- Researchers are required to purchase their own reagents, including tubes and sheath fluid.
- Training on the flow cytometer is coordinated through the MBC and is mandatory prior to use.
- Training is usually held over the course of 2 days, approximately 3 hours per day. All supplies needed for training will be provided by the MBC.

- The MBC’s FACSMelody is equipped with three lasers – blue, green and violet – and the FACSMelody can collect data in 10 different parameters (forward scatter, side scatter and 8 fluorescence channels). The FACSMelody can be used as a standard flow cytometer but was primarily purchased for its cell sorting capabilities.
- Researchers are required to purchase their own reagents, including tubes and sheath fluid.
- Training on the cell sorter is coordinated through the MBC and is mandatory prior to use.
- Training is usually held over the course of 2 days, approximately 3 hours per day. All supplies needed for training will be provided by the MBC.
