Two Beckman Coulter rotors are currently available for your ultracentrifugation needs on the Optima XPN-1000; the Type 70 Ti Fixed Angle rotor and the SW 40 Ti Swinging-Bucket rotor. Researchers are required to purchase their own tubes, adapters and caps that are appropriate for their selected rotor and as recommended by Beckman Coulter. However, if you are in protocol development and trying to determine if the MBC’s ultracentrifuge may fit into your experimental design, please contact the MBC with your tube/adapter needs to see if we can help.
